Failed a subject because of a god damn professor. No matter. I could easily get back up on my feet and do things right again. A lot of bad things happened after that and I just want to relax and lay back for now. Stress is such an arse.

Okay so the brain stopped working. I missed a doctor's appointment and have to pay for it because that's the policy. I have no idea what is going on anymore because I'm working extra hours for the holidays. Somehow I don't think I'm ready for the whole back to work full-time thing. Was I coming or going?

Migraine. No pain, got that nipped in the bud with tylenol, but everything else, even the clock ticking is too loud, typing is too loud. Light… make the universe go away!

Didn't I used to have a comic? Oh yeah, there's a bunch of stuff in the next room that was set up so I could continue my comic. I still haven't touched it. I think there's a camera around here somewhere… I should just go back to bed so I can go to work tonight. :)

Imagine what this would be like if I drank? Who needs alcohol. lol!

I broke my headphones. I stepped on them in the car, I think. The right side keeps coming unattached. :(
At least they still work.

I meant tea like they had in the 40's n stuff. Alcohol with “tea” wouldn't be that original.

WTF? You lucky, lucky, lucky bastard!!!! :gem:
These days I'm lucky if I can get prescription grade opiates like Tramadol to even dim the pain.

And as for the stuff you buy over the counter, there was so much paracetamol in my system the other day amongst all the codeine and and doxylamine succinate from the pills I was gulping down, I was afraid I'd get immediate liver damage inSPITE of the four tortuous hours I forced myself to stick out and count down between each dose of two…

Ugh.. just got berated by one of my brothers for enjoying food at the New Years party. Apparently even though I'm taking my medications my blood sugar can kill me if I enjoy the party food too much. So next time I have to go the party, talk to relatives… and that's it. Or better yet I'll take his advice and not go to any parties at all. After all, staying alive with a low or no “quality of life” is preferrable to enjoying your life even for one day…

I wish I could rearrange the furniture in this house. I like moving things around to make ‘new’ rooms. Unfortunately with English houses, there's normally only one way furniture fits, so I'm stuck with it. :[ Time to build houses in the Sims!

When I'm rich I'm absolutely going to have an open-plan house with lots of windows, hardwood floors, and no stupid useless fireplaces.

Yesterday I came very close to having to put a stray cat out of its misery and bury it. The animal's muzzle had been smashed by a passing car. I discovered it some time after the hit and run. I don't know how long it had been in agony before I found it in front of my neighbor's house, lying in the curb gutter.

There was no saving it. All I could think to do was to fetch a shovel, smash it over the head to put it out of its misery, and then bury it in the back yard. But while I was working up the nerve to do the deed a city animal control van pulled to a stop and ‘took care’ of it. I couldn't make myself watch as the creature moaned in pain and terror. I cried.

It's funny how the terrible injury of a helpless animal will get to a person. It was not a great start to a new year.

I went to the pharmacy to refill my script today, forgetting that my deductible reset on the 1st. I then promptly kicked myself in the teeth for not refilling it in December. Until I meet that, instead of my $50 co-pay, I pay the full $200. So I only had enough money for a week's worth of pills. I have no idea how I'll get the money to pay for the rest, but hey- I bought myself (literally) a week's time to do it. ;)

It also means that instead of my $50 co-pay for my twice-a-month doctor's visits, I get to pay $150 a pop. Oh boy! I'm hoping she'll let me switch to the generics, and cut back the visits to once a month. Only problem is, last time they put me on generic meds… well, it was really, really bad; I'll just leave it at that.

Oh, and my health insurance goes up to $235/ month this year. For the kind of “coverage” detailed above. But gee, socialized health care is a bad thing! I'd much rather go broke and not be able to afford the treatment I need than be a dirty “socialist”.

Too right! Here in Britain we filthy socialists positively wallow in our disgusting National Health Service. On saturday night we go out, get completely plastered then smash pint pots over each others heads so we can end up in accident and emergency, where we carry on fighting and berating the duty nurses with disgraceful sexual innuendo, all at the taxpayers expence.

I'm not sure we could afford to do that it we had to pay for it. :)

Now that this is a Rant, Vent, And Share thread I'm allowed to put good things too, right?
Spent the last few hours with a friend of mine who I haven't seen in a while…we went record searching in our favourite record store and this used book store. I got With The Beatles and some comics for 50 cents.
Then I just got home and found that my family has gone out, so I'm free to listen to my new album without a screaming eight-year-old jumping on me and my dad trying to sing along. Nice day overall.

Oh, but yesterday my crazy alcoholic uncle called our house and left a message saying that he is moving back to our city today. It's very likely that he will show up at our door like he has so many times before and expect us to take him in. Which my mother wants to do, but my dad won't allow. Not sure what's going to happen with that yet. My uncle is a nice guy and everything, but this has happened too many times.

…speaking of which I'm going to be happy with The Sims 3 when it comes out THIS YEAR; you're no longer locked in the square when arranging your furniture. :)

-Edit: Well, it took me two freakin' days but I think I managed to track down the “Vundo” Trojan that was attaching sh** to my computer. Or at least no virus or adware software is picking it up anymore and I haven't seen any popups. GO ME!

Hell. So I'm updating my site using CoffeeCup FTP and this old version of CuteHTML, and before I know it my computer is infected with some sort of Malware/Adware. I'm getting popups constantly now. It doesn't seem to be doing anything lethal, but I went from no popups to one every ten to twenty minutes or so. Really sucks. =(

I'm using Earthlink firewall and scan, I scanned it and while it did pick up some stuff…deleting it didn't do much of anything, and the firewall doesn't stop the popups. Though I can't tell if it's connected to my Firefox or Windows Explorer or just my entire computer in general.

I'm going to try scanning with Housecall now, but I don't have high hopes. I wish I could find out what file this was in so I could grab the bastard myself.

Does anyone know if CoffeeCup FTP has a history of adware? I knew it had popups with it because it's a crappy free program…but I didn't think it had freakin' lethal adware attached to it! Plus I used it much before and it never did that…

Apparently my laptop battery is “near the end of its usable life.” Crap.
Also there was something else but I forget it now. I swear it was in my brain like two seconds ago.

Edit: Oh, I remember! There's this store I passed in the bus a while ago called “Strictly Amish” which I think is pretty neat and ridiculous, and I was very excited to go in there and find out exactly what the heck that store was. But someone just told me that it's only a little furniture store and no amish people work there. FALSE ADVERTISING! This makes me mad. It ruined my fun.

Also I wanted to go to the museum Monday with my friends, but it has ridiculous hours…closed mondays, open 10-4 on weekdays. I mean, who can even go to the museum during those times? Housewives and small children? What about silly teenagers who want to get up to silly shenanigans in the old-fashioned village?

I should be working on sketches for the commission I got to paint murals on the walls at the local farmer's market, but I keep blowing it off and doing mindless busy work for other projects that are essentially completed except for the actual labor bit and don't have to be done now. They want some murals for walls, one of which is 40' long by 17' tall. I know it's my first chance to do something this big and I've been dying to get a chance to do some work on such a large scale, but I just can't seem to focus on it at all. Normally, I can just jump in and start on everything and ideas start flowing. I've never had this sort of problem before, I'm not sure how to get myself moving.

Okay, this is a dumb “rant”, but I hate scripting.

Why can't the rough plot-lines, snippets of dialogue, and the vague ideas of the order in which things are to happen- why can't they just jump magically out of my head, and arrange themselves on my computer screen, perfectly organized and fitting precisely into the allotted number of pages, and just be ready to work from?

Instead my back is killing me from bending over this keyboard, I'd much rather be drawing, and I know that even when I finish, I'm going to have to edit this mess, like, twenty more times before I can start on thumbnails and layouts.

I tried falling asleep about 2 hours ago, and I fell asleep for an hour and a half. I woke up feeling scared for some reason. It's crazy. It's almost as if I woke up to think about the rest of my life. I'm only 16 btw. :|
I'm quite unhappy with the way I'm living my life, staying up late, waking up late, eating poorly, feeling like crap, having people never respond to me, so I guess I'll change that.

Hmmm…

As for the comic, I just pencilled Page 12, and did thumbnails for up to Page 16.

Dumb rant? Hardly.

In my case reverse the above. It is so easy to write and then go off on tangents and some more tangents and start shooting it and wonder why the hell this is in the script?

I feel your pain because that's where I am now.

I've missed two updates because of it so far.

There was a guy on the train at lunchtime, a real “ocker” Aussie bloke, yammering into his mobile phone loudly today:

"Yeah mate! Maaate! Yeah I tried that, it didn't work mate. Strewth, too bloody right mate! I got 40 lines the other day mate, yeaaaahh… And this chick rings me up saying she needs 10 right away! I can't do that, you know? Not at short notice! I need 7 for me'self, 5 for you, 5 for each of the guys and more in case I need to sell any later, so I gave her 5 to go on with for now…
What's with the colour mate? They're all brown! I can't get a red! Naah, I can't! I've tried different spoons…. Yeah, I've trued that! I don't know what it is. Does baking soda do that? How much concentration do you think?

And so on… Now this is on “the good side of the tracks” in this area, literally, and this guy's just going on and discussing cocaine dealing/using as if he's all alone. Bizarre. Even when you're somewhere where people feel it's a bit safer and more appropriate to talk about that sort of thing they don't tend to shout it out for the whole world to hear.

Perhaps he was feeling happy and high for some reason… It funny, you think, “now should I call someone about that idiot?”
…and then you think "yeah, that would make ME an idiot… if I was lucky."
