I have decided to delve into a new genre for me, that of horror and the supernatural.
Wrath of the Conqueror Worm is a story inspired by the tales of Edgar Allan Poe. It is the story of several familiar characters facing off against a dark deity in the 1850s. Expect moody atmosphere and Gothic settings. If interested please pq me or post here.
And yes, a certain raven will make an appearance.

Will all the characters be Poe inspired?

Yes, each main character comes directly from Poe stories and poems.
I might fabricate one or two minor characters if I can't find someone who'll fit, but that'd be it.

I am of interest.
I usually send this via pq to all those who show interest, but none of those respond back for some reason.
Could you, and any other interested artists, provide some concept pictures of the villains for the story, the Usher siblings and the Conqueror Worm itself? It would really help me to come to a decision.
The Ushers can be found in the Fall of the House of Usher, here:
http://www.eapoe.org/works/tales/usherf.htm
And the Worm can be found in the poem here:

Thanks!

Too bad. Any particular reason (read: Did I make it uninteresting somehow)?

What? I get paranoid about if things are my fault or not. I'm cool like that.

So I take a few days to respond. I'm lazy like that.
Rar.

Um, you don't actually have to read all that, I mostly just gave that as a reference tool/inspiration in case anyone needed that.
All you need to know is the Ushers are pale, dark haired, and a mix of creepy and sexy. Wormy is large, red, and angry.
Sorry for any misunderstandings! No one has to actually read!

Though it wouldn't kill anyone. Support literacy and your local libraries!

Oh, and two of the heroes will be the devil, and a robot man.
Seriously, Poe made a robot man story. Ha!

But yeah, if the reading thing threw anyone off, sorry.
Have I apologized enough?
