I'm back from job training! Thanks for being patient. :) And thank you, Mike and Tantz for the lovely guest art. I moved it to the fan art gallery to restore story flow.
It's difficult to tell since it is autumn, but that is a dead branch, not a good sturdy choice. :P Fudo fell between two and three stories. (The average height of an oak tree is 60 feet, and this is a fairly tall one.) This is just about the maximum height a person can fall from and survive – although a shorter fall can cause severe injuries. The branch probably slowed the descent considerably.

Good I'm glad Fudo is not dead. Love the artwork. Your style gives everything a nice texture. You always put little extras in there too, like the dear drinking water. Thanks.
