Ch. 2 - Pg. 40

After this page, this project will sadly go on the backburner until… I'm not sure how long. I've devulged the reasons I can think of to you all, but it's weird, because when I think of individual aspects (illustrated novel, prose, images in text, eco-apocalypse, new culture with new customs and myths…), I like them all…
Oh well… Thank you for your support during this experiment, and if you like it alot, hope you don't feel too letdown!!
I am still here on DD, though, working on a new project: GODSTRANDS
and I'd love to see your support over there too!!

Gorgeously illustrated page! There's nothing wrong with a hiatus, we all need one sometimes :3

Everyone wants to hear that they are being appreciated and understood.

I'll be looking forward to whatever becomes of this story, if anything. My kai-strings are taut with anticipation. It was good seeing such an unconventional format on this site, at least.

It was a good experiment, one I could easily see revisiting someday. I like that it inspired Usebook's to try something similar with her 'Strange Creatures' story!

Hiatus is a wonderful thing to let you figure out what the heck is going on. Reading the last five pages at one sitting it seems something isn't quite right.
KimLuster at 3:59AM, March 30, 2018
Cid, yeah, the story definitely was building that way, but I'd hoped to put a special spin on it at some point, with some readers going, "Ahaaaa!" Like you I don't really care that much about themes as long as it's good (how many Vampire webcomics do we have, yet The Gloom and Charby are both worth reading)!
El Cid at 11:52AM, March 29, 2018
At the macro level storywise, the only thing I'd maybe take issue with is that it seems to be building toward one of those 'The One' type of storylines (the Matrix, King Arthur, the New Testament). I guess some readers may not be super keen on that, but personally I never care too much about that sort of thing. To me, especially with webcomics, which evolve over a long period of time, I tend to view them as infrastructures on which the author can explore a lot of different ideas and concepts. So what matters to me most is whether the setting and characters are interesting, and whether it looks like the author has something interesting to say.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly! Something's not quite right... something I can't really name right now, but maybe after some time I will be able to!!

Looking forward to when this continues. Eager to see where GODSTANDS takes us.
KimLuster at 8:45AM, March 29, 2018
Thanks! I suspect it'll come back at some point!!

"Always leave them wanting more" That must be your motto. How does that translate into this culture's language?
KimLuster at 8:44AM, March 29, 2018
Hrrrmmm... I dunno... My strings need plucking...? :)

I always say I'm single by choice. Not MY choice, but true nonetheless. XD Have a good hiatus and enjoy other projects that hold you better. Waiting for inspiration or drive can be best. Better to write what wants to be written.

I'll be back if and when this continues! If the Weaver weaves it, sew be it!
KimLuster at 7:36AM, March 28, 2018
hehe good one! And maybe there'll be a spin-off :D Get it... Spin... Off... *dodges the tomaters*
