Episode One Hundred and Forty-Eight
coinilius on April 23, 2006
Apologies to Brian Carrol, creator of Instant Classic (which can be found at www.instantclassic.net), and to our very own Dave (Hamorhage) De Keyser, who does the excellent horror comic the Flea at www.drunkduck.com/The_Flea (hope you don't mind, Hamorhage - if you do, just tell me and I'll remove the image).
Hopefully this comic isn't to hard to follow - there's two completely seperate conversations and punchlines going on at once.. I tried to seperate them as much as possible, though.
Also, is it clear enough that the movie Roy is dragging Anna along to is ‘the Flea’ movie?
I'm pretty positive that there, unfortunatly, won't be an update on Wednesday… or if there is, it will be late. Sorry in advance for that :(
No Mr Rabbit today, instead the bonus comic is the original version of todays DEV update, before I hastily edited in the Flea movie poster. The reason I decided to change it was because the in-joke to another DD comic seemed a better choice than the original in-joke which only my brother and I would get :P
Mr Rabbit will return whenever the next DEV update comes along (either late Wednesday or Friday).

Kagomas - you've got to watch out, they're hiding behind every corner... Hamorhage - I think it would be great to see the Flea as a movie, although I'd settle for just seeing some more pages of the great comic first :D
Hamorhage at 10:17AM, May 13, 2006
You "really" didn't have t Roy. Haha...reminds me when I envited my girlfriend to go see "Silent Hill", which turned out to be quite dissapointing actually...definetly NO movie to take your girl along too :) Seems Roy is making the same mistake as I did! Haha, it's great to see my comic turned into a classic horror flic! Once again, I'm very honored to see that there! I always loved the updates, but it's still awesome to see my own work mixed into it! Brilliant :)

I once saw an advert saying to watch out for STDs. I haven't seen any yet!
coinilius at 6:55PM, May 4, 2006
daf - maybe if you watched it with your eyes closed... conned - then I guess I did a good job capturing the 'style' :D
Conned at 3:45PM, May 3, 2006
haha I was just about to say that comic looks alot like instant classics x>
Daf42 at 10:52AM, April 30, 2006
I'd watch it! Well, maybe not
coinilius at 6:51AM, April 30, 2006

Rydel - sometimes... Stocks - really? Cool, I'd love to take a stab at doing a guest comic for you :D
stocks at 1:57AM, April 27, 2006
Hey, I hope I convinced you to fav Stocks by now, because you're one of the guys I was hoping would do a couple guest comics for me.
Rydel6 at 9:39PM, April 26, 2006
Sometimes the ads are really that good.

subcultured - yeah, it would be a movie I'd go and see as well :P magicalmisfits - yep, they sure are... they will be again in Fridays as well (Wednesdays a definite 'no go' update, alas), but it won't be as bad (there's another cameo in that as well) :D x3022 - Yeah, Splatterman's not ment to make a very good movie... It's the story of Wesley Snipes playing a detective in New Orleans, on the trail of a telekenitic killer who makes people, er, splat, if anyone is interested in the plot ;) Tribute - excitement is always a good thing though, right? AdHoc - thanks man.. hows the week been going since then, though? Glass Ink, KAM, Kyupol - thanks for dropping by guys! Chelano - Heh, well, this is Roy we're talking about... Joff, Magickmaker - :D I've been a fan of Instant Classic for awhile as well, and when I realised I had them going to the movies, I though... 'Why not?' Ozone - unfortunately, IC has a very, very sporadic schedule these days, but it is indeed a fine comic.. though I still sort of miss BriWorld :P dragthemdown - I'm glad for that, as a I tried to make it so that it wasn't just 'OMG! Cameos!' and have no inherent humour to it beyond that... and like I said, the Flea cameo was thrown in at the last minute, as it was originally just a made up horror movie. Do indeed check out IC and the Flea, as they are both interesting comics (although in very different ways) :) Bobo - I was wondering if someone would commment on how bad that looks :P Yeah, it is out of place - I drew it much smaller than what I normally work on, and didn't have the time to properly fix it up so it basically came out less detailed and rough looking :( dogdragon - heh, it is a very 'greyscale' comic, isn't it? A lot of that comes from the very monochromatic colour-scheme adopted by the earier Instant Classic comics.
dogdragon at 11:36AM, April 25, 2006
ahhhhh! they're macthing! whites and greys! yipe! anyway great job!
bobo_81 at 11:29PM, April 24, 2006
Hmm....the style of the theater in the first panel looks strangely out of place. Otherwise very nice
dragthemdown at 7:46PM, April 24, 2006
i don't know what 'instant classic' or 'the flea' is, but i still felt like i got it. i'll have to go check those out.
Ozoneocean at 5:29PM, April 24, 2006
Lovely cameos! I used to read Instant Classic... That's a damn good webcomic. And there's "The Flea". I don't think I'd go and see that myself. It'd scare the shit out of me.
magickmaker at 1:08PM, April 24, 2006
I love instant classic...
Joff at 11:30AM, April 24, 2006
"Citizen Kate demands to go to the lobby!"
Chelano at 8:26AM, April 24, 2006
heheh he lovvvves that soda in the last panel
AdHocFerox at 1:37AM, April 24, 2006

Tribute at 9:39PM, April 23, 2006
i think she got a little to excited.
x3022 at 9:16PM, April 23, 2006
weird, isn't it? a movie isnt the same without popcorn and a soda! i don't wait for the ads, i load up as soon as i walk in the door! and i'm sure that spatterman would make an excellent movie! NOT!
magicalmisfits at 9:14PM, April 23, 2006
They are all running around loose on this strip are'nt they?
subcultured at 9:08PM, April 23, 2006
hahaha.."the flea", now that's a movie I wanna watch.
