ACT: A Catastrophe Truly

Ah, so much to talk about and so little time.

First…STORY ARC!!!!

The events from this story arc are inspired by actual events, so the events to follow hit pretty close to home. In addition, this first comic to feature Hanna since the art change. Hanna was a character I never liked drawing, because, well, she never turned out as pretty as I wanted her to. With the art change, however, I think she looks 100 times better, so we will get to see her in more strips to come.

Second, many of you probably noticed that this comic isn’t 4 panels long. I decided that, as far as story arcs go, 4 panels really doesn’t work for what I want to do. By not doing 4 panels, I was able to take more liberty with the angles characters are drawn from (i.e. Hanna being drawn from behind and Hanna in profile). Also, the pane’s with DJ laughing would be forced into 1 panel, and, while losing 1 panel isn’t that big of a loss, having DJ laugh over 2 panels makes it seem like DJ is laughing for a longer time. As for updates with this new style, they are still going to be once a week. While I would love to update 3 or 4 times a week, that’s just not feasible once school starts. By doing things this way, story arcs will be continuously happening throughout the year. I might do a random strip here and there, but story arcs will be the focus.

Third, Ironman is amazing. This is the best superhero movie to come out yet, and is just a joy to watch. Everyone needs to go see it. It’s awesome.

Anyway, I’m very excited for the way the comic is going to update from now on, and finally getting the chance to move the story along.
