So for years I've done my comic just paper pencils and pens. I've decided it's time to try and adapt and buy my first art tablet. The problem is I am unfamiliar with the hardware or how it works. Does anyone know of a brand of Art tablet that is easy to learn, has all the bells and whistles and perhaps a tutorial on a website like SkillShare?

I've been using various tablets since about 2002 I think…

For a person that has never really used them your best bet is to go for a screen tablet. The best options are with an ipdad with an ipencil or like me you could get a Samsung Tab S with a pen (or whatever they're called now).

You don't really need detailed tutes, Just watch videos on Youtube of people using them. Because they make them similar to the experience of traditional art making them pretty intuitive.

I started with a screenless tablet and it took some time to get used to it, but it is much cheaper.

Same. I took a long while to master it but then that made it really hard and uncomfortable to go back to a screen tablet XD

Screenless tablets are superior in a few ways because nothing gets in the way of the drawing- you always have a much better view of what you're doing.

Trouble is you're tied to your comp whenever you want to make art :(

Wacom makes all kinds of different pen tablets with various prices, sizes, and functions.

Best of luck.
