Just imagine right. Everyone from around the world could buy a nation for a day.

Ex: Justin Bieber buys Japan
Donald Trump buys Australia
Some random dude from England buys Argentina.
And a family in Uganda buys Russia.

Twelve cents each, you could buy the whole continent of Africa for five dollars.

I'd buy Liechtenstein. Buying the United States cheap may sound like a bargain, but you're paying 12 cents to be $20 trillion in debt!

This could be fun in fiction but fails far too fast if you think about it logically XD
What are you actually buying? Debt, land, infrastructure, mineral rights, government, the legal system, the military…?
And with over 4 billion people in the world with the chance to buy the much smaller amount of countries that value will last a few picoseconds.
People FROM the countries would be the first to buy them too.
