I've decided to add a few more characters to play minor roles to this chapter (permission pending):

-SHELL (as Masao Kimura, as limo driver 1)
-Amalgam (as ____ Wiles, I don't know his first name, as limo driver 2)
-Dr. Destiny (no undercover identity)

As you are beginning the script - can I make one suggestion regarding Titan. A lot of what is in this chapter (i.e. pools, tanning, fun) would be a little alien to her. Remember that she was brought up in a post-apocalyptic world.

On another note, for those following this thread, I think I'm going to cut out the Boss Mode Ms. Ari. That part of the story extends the chapter by quite several pages, and the draft is already over the originally-envisioned 12-pages, and on top of that, there's a several-page insert/epilogue to transition to the next chapter. We'll see though.

Hahaha, very funny. No. He's always had zits (He's supposed to be like me when I was 18, and I believe in being honest to make up for the heroic build, even without abs.) and he wears a mask for the same reason all the other masked heroes does. It's a bit of a reverse of your statement though, he wears the mask so regularly that the zits doesn't go down that easily.

I should have said, “that's why he's wearing a full face mask instead of a domino mask” or something. I admit, it was a very bad joke, but it just had to be made.

And here I thought the heroic build was the authentic part, and the zits exaggerated. (Bad jokes need company, even if they're completely off topic.)

On a more serious note, it's interesting how you tend to emphasize that Virtus is based on yourself. I've had many discussions about how characters are in some way reflections of their creator, but obviously, the degree to which that is true differs.

(Again, sorry for being off-topic - if this leads to any discussion, there's the discussion thread ^_^)

HA#4 script is done and finalized. It's an 18-page story (plus a 3-page epilogue by SympleSymon which I will render).



@ Abt, Seb, Jin, Tempest:
When you have a moment, would you let me know how many pages you want to take on for this issue? It can be as little as a single page if you're schedules are tight, but of course, more is appreciated! In any case, rest assured, you will be given fanservice-y pages to render rather than plot-establishment-oriented ones. I can color your lineart if that'll help your personal schedules.

I'm eyeballing a couple of specific additional artists as well, so our artist team for this one might grow a little bit, depending on their response. Fingers crossed!

Abt - You're probably already planning on it, but I'll ask anyway: Would you mind pasting the Issue title “Skin Deep” and the “Heroes Alliance” text logo on it?


I'll send out the script and page assignments when we're closer to wrapping up the work on HA#3 and have confirmed artist commitments. In the meantime, I'll draw up references and post them on the first post of this thread as they become available.

Oh, anything really, 1-5, possibly more if it's needed. And plot establishing or fan servicey, meh, just shoot them my way, I ain't picky. ^^
