Does anybody else here on the duck build papercraft models?
Most artistic communities have some modelers I was just wondering.

If you like papercraft, check out World Works Games (worldworksgames.com).

They make awesome dungeon/building stuffs for RPGs. Fantasy, Sci-fi, and now horror. I first heard about the hobby by finding them because I was looking for mroe RPG scenery stuff.

Ah, okay, I see what you mean now. I actually have done stuff like that. Most recently they were buildings for the weird west game Deadlands. I used models from this site: Whitewash City

I found one really good online tutorial, here like any art though you find things you prefer to do. I for instance don't use scissors and prefer an X-acto knife to razor blades.

Short answer: yes

Long Answer: I haven't tried it myself, but practically any 3d modeling software can be used so long as you can flatten the model out when you're done. Try googling paper engineering or paper-model design for more details on specialized applications for designing paper models/pop-up books, etc. Though very smart people just figure it out in their heads and use photoshop or illustrator to make the patterns.

btw: tutorial link fixed.

In response to earlier interest you can you this program : Pepakura Designer to take any 3d model data and translate into a printable sheet painlessly.

NOTE: I am not an expert on using it. It is simply a program I found to be highly endorsed by many enthusiasts.
