Marvel did a “silent story month” a couple of years ago where they encouraged their writers and artists to produce an issue of their books devoid of dialogue.
How about we do a No-Face Day where we try to convey our story without showing the expressions, just the body language and dialogue of the characters in the scene?
thoughts?

no, this wouldnt be a whole month. that was marvel's gig. this is just doing one issue of our personal strips without faces.
i havent chosen a day; im willing to accept suggestions. it'd be a while out, i think. 3 weeks at least.

That would be good practice, especially for people who usually draw only faces.

i would but my comic is very much centered around the various voices that surround the main character
it would be VERY VERY hard to do
also i think that i would need to break up the story to do so
though i do try to draw a minimal ammount of faces and stick to just silhouettes

The source of the sickness
A story of a man who becomes a monster through psychological torment.
A romantic emotional fantasy story based in part on my own life.

Man, how tough would it be to tell a story both WITHOUT words and WITHOUT showing any faces?
Hmmm… near to impossible.
Man, that sounds tough. I'm not sure if I'd be able to do it.

yeah, that does sound tough. it's possible, but one would have to be very good at using hand gestures and body language.
fortunately, on november 19th, you can totally use dialogue, but you can't use facial expressions.
that's right: November 19th is No-Face Day.

My comic's main character doesn't have a mouth…
Does that count as no-faced?

Why hello there.

i have to work overnights both when PS3 comes out and when Wii comes out. im not looking forward to it.
also, to sign up (guess i should have posted this link sooner) head over here. if we get enough people, i'll actually set up a No-Face Day account.

Devoid of dialogue AND faces!?
guess i should have clarified again: dialogue is ok; faces arent.
read the sign up thread for more details (such as there are).
