Welcome, Haint! Curious about your name - the only other instance of the word “haint” I've seen/heard was an archaic form of “haunt.” So, your name translates to ME as “haunted.” =p

You're right.I've got relatives that still refer to ghosts as Haints and call haunted houses hainted houses.I didn't realise how widespread it was until I saw a show on discovery channel about a place in Georgia called Haunted Holler(or as the woman they interviewed for it said Hainted Holler)

I knew a hainted alcoholic once. Turns out the ghosts that were hainting him just wanted to be friends because he was a ghost but didn't realise it at the time, now they all haint an old church together.
