Everyone has their favorate music and bands they like to listen to, adore or whatnot…and that can speak volumes of a person is like, who they are and much more. What music or songs do you feel descibe your personality the best?

For myself…I would have to say there are three songs:

1. Misses Glass by Leona Lewis

2. Streets of Philidephia by Bruce Springsteen(I don't live there…but it would be nice to go and visit. I also just love Bruce Springsteen.)

3. One Headlight by the Wall Flowers ( D: Don't kick me for liking that group…that one I have liked since I was a moody teenager D:)
Forgive your enemies, it messes with their head.

Should I make a list of favs with videos on youtube? :)

Life On Mars - David Bowie

Heart In A Cage - The Strokes

Watching The Wheels - John Lennon

I'm pretty keen on the first one, but the other two tend to change a lot.

Baba O'Reilly, The Who

Pinball Wizard, The Who

Real Good Lookin' Boy, The Who

Only The Young, Journey

Lights, Journey

Those last two were when Journey actually had a good singer.

Edit: Also, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Elton John

Ha. Anyone who like Leonard Cohen is a friend of mine. lol!
If I were to describe myself solely in Cohen songs:
The Captain
The Law
A Bunch of Lonesome Heroes
Diamonds in the Mine
The Old Revolution
Dress Rehersal Rag

Yeah, some of ‘em are obscure. (I have every Cohen record, like, ever. I’m of the “rabid fan” variety.)

I don't think I could describe myself with just a few songs. Overall, I tend to be pretty varied. But I think if I were to go with just a few I'd go with:

's “kicking pigeons”

Great Big Sea's “The Mermaid”

Descendents “'Merican” and

See You Next Tuesday's “8 dead, 9 if you count the fetus”.

That sounds like an overall, well-rounded blend of me.

This is destined for the media section…

OK, best to pick songs people should know or will come across easily… since if people are too nonplussed to even look them up it's pointless tying.

1. 20th Century Boy, by T-Rex.

2. Walking On Sunshine, By Katrina and the Waves

3. Wish You Were Here, by Pink Floyd.

1- full of self importance and think I'm god's gift to everybody. 2- being happy is a feeling that I like, even if I can't be there all the time. 3- I'm very sentimental at heart really and I don't want to lose the dream.

3. Wish You Were Here, by Pink Floyd.

I almost chose that. I knew there was a Floyd song that suited me, but in the end I decided on In the Flesh.

So if we are to analyze who we are based on these songs, I am…

1- Fascist bigot type.
2- On an acid trip gone horribly, horribly wrong.
3- Lonely and depressed.

Fun.

“If I had my way, I'd have all of you shot!”
Yeah, not good. :(

Of course the last song on my list is about utter failure and suicide, so I guess I ain't one to talk.

(I am gonna go listen to “The Wall” now, though. lol!)

1. 20th Century Boy, by T-Rex.

Oh man, now I can't help picturing ozone as Marc Bolan singing this…

I don't know if I can really define myself through songs. I haven't got much of a personality. At least not one that can be described by music.

That would make me a lunatic, perverted, idiotic mass murderer based on the content of those songs.

Gee, I hope that doesn't describe me, because I need to go rethink who I am then.

Two groups that I always felt summed up my feelings when I heard them are The Smashing Pumpkins and The Supremes.

I'll have to think for a bit to narrow it down to a few songs.

Hmmm I'm pretty much constantly surrounded by music while I'm in my space so it's kinda tricky… let me consult my ‘most played’ list.

Hot Water Music - Ink and Lead

The Gaslight Anthem - I could'a been a contender

Against me! - The Ocean

mmmm punkalicious

Ha. Anyone who like Leonard Cohen is a friend of mine.

Thanks. :D I enjoy a lot of his work. It's poetic, but more real than dream-like. His anecdotes about relationships I find to beautiful. He's a quiet figure, but he says a lot with a low voice, you know?

I enjoy Suzanne, Stories of the Street, and many others, but The Future is the one that really answered the question of the topic. Glad to meet another fan of Mr Cohen's work.

Top 5 songs have gotta be:
Brain Damage/Eclipse by Pink Floyd,
The Mesopotamians by They Might Be Giants.
Canadian Idiot by Weird Al
Albuquerque by Weird Al
Locomotive Breath by Jethro Tull

But my absolute favourite, couldn't live without it album is:
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn by Pink Floyd (because there aren't good enough words to describe Syd Barrett).

I'm seeing a theme of randomness here…

Tor.
