Internet Explorer 8 Beta: What you think of it

Ok Two weeks ago, I saw an ad on my email page (not a spam mail but a little pop-up) and it was for IE8 beta. So far I've had very few problems with it, in fact it's 3 times better than IE7. The tabs are colorized so you can now associate pop-ups to different windows. Not to mention, it's a lot smoother. My only problem is the “Watch this on VeohTV” button doesn't pop up when I'm watching animes over at Veoh. (slight advertising) CJ, my main comic, is reach 200 pages next Friday; and I'm hoping that IE8 may make it easier for me to code my web page so I can include some art to really make the event really stand out.

I'd like to see Pinky TA on it, I'm sure that'd be a good experience for me and everyone else, especially since that's such a great comic lol!

nice plug you slipped in there man ;)

We all know about MS products. It's safest not to download and install them until they're at least out of beta. There have already been issues for people who've installed earlier versions of the beta- i.e. stuff like not being able to unistall it and go back to IE7 after the big Windows update, and more.

I know there's problems with betas but I'm willing to take the risk (one of the reasons why I'm going into robotic science). Truth be told, compaired to the problems I had on IE7, IE8 is a lot better. It really depends on, I guess, how adaptive you are to things; I mean I can adapt to anything that happens to me. I really guess that if you don't like to change, then IE8 won't be for that person.

Oh and ozone if you can get me a one of your Pinky TA banners, I'll code it in (free of charge, this goes for all non-sprite comics too) since it is my 200th event and I'm going to code my background for it, anyone can send me a banner. I still don't know if IE8 makes coding easier.

If you're interested in making coding easier then download firefox and you can get a bunch of add-ons to help you out with it.

I'll go to IE8 as my IE browser (not my main one), when the finished version is out :)

Here's a banner of mine :)

I'll check it out for my home laptop. IE7 was a world better than IE6, so I'm curious about IE8. Colored tabs is a nice incentive…an extremely minor one, but every little bit helps (since I'm more of a Firefox fan myself)!

Beta sucks. It ruined my desktop. I took it off and it's been better since. Chrome is so much better!

It's pretty interesting. I think I'll stick with FF until the beta period is over, but who knows after that.
