So, I'm really new here. I just discovered this place while browsing through the JoeMadFan forums.

My name is Ben and I'm a struggling animator/comic book artist. I work part-time as the “computer guy” at a local driving school and freelance on the side. I also paint occasionally and hang out with my girlfriend. Right now, my top inspiration comes from:
-Gurren Lagann!!!
-kung fu movies
-underground hip hop
-80's cartoon intros
-video games

I'm trying to juggle doing both animation and comics in my spare time, which can sometimes cause me to go temporarily insane.

Why, just this afternoon, there was a tropical depression in the Networking forum, beachball-size hail over at Steely's comic A Roll of the Dice, AND a meteor shower right here in this very thread (even though it hadn't been posted yet - Renga's apparently also a psychic).

Yeah, things are a mess. My comic has been under clean-up for ages thanks to this lunatic. And now he's…WHAT?! A meteor shower?! Here? Soon? Well then I'm going to want to move really, really fast.

My name is Andre and I'm an aspiring comic book artist/animator. I work as a library assistant at a local library. I do whatever I feel like at the moment and am currently looking for a Japanese girlfriend with the aid of my JWTB (Japanese Woman Tracking Beacons. That's right; I've already found an application for those things). Right now, my top inspiration comes from:
-a wide variety of Japanese cartoons (including Ranma 1/2 and probably Gurren Lagann, if I see it)
-a wide variety of American cartoons
-Sesame Street Old School
-catchy anime soundtracks and whatever songs that tickle my fancy (such as “Living In the Sunlight, Loving In the Moonlight”, for instance)
-video games

Hey, what can I say; it's an unavoidable shortcoming of most evil/ambiguously-immoral geniuses. I can't even begin to tell you the number of times rambling on like that have thwarted my nefarious schemes and sometimes nearly lead to my demise! Why, I remember the time when my minions captured these meddling intruders in my lair who vowed that I wasn't going to get away with whatever it was I was doing, and as I confidently gave my obligatory monologue
