Hello! I've already had two different comic series on Drunk Duck before, Ninja Pig of the North and Obscured by Species before that (although under a different username). Well this new comic is here to stay! Trust me on this one.
About me: I've been doing webcomics in one form or another for about ten years now. I started when I was 12, long before I even knew webcomics existed. I thought I was being original, putting up two pages of comics a week onto a website. I got six visits a day, and I thought that was amazing. It took a newspaper article in the local newspaper about “things teens were up to” to get more people to my site; people who weren't close friends or relatives; people who knew about webcomics and did not feel bad about tearing my comic apart. And I've been limping on ever since. I've had four different series that I've started, diligently updated and promoted, and then felt just weren't working for some reason or another, and ended.
Finally, I decided I needed direction. So I applied and got accepted to the Center for Cartoon Studies and for the past year, I've studied comics. I have since become ten times more aware of what I'm doing and what I'm trying to do. What I want to do is make funny comic books about things that interest me. And it's taken me this long to remember what interests me: guinea pigs. I don't know why. Probably because the first comic I drew as a fourth grader was about my pet guinea pig, and I continued that series until I got those e-mails tearing my comic apart. That's probably why I tried to go in new directions. But now I'm back. Back with guinea pigs. And now they're from outer space. …yep. Oh, and since then I've become obsessed with Dostoevsky. So guess where these space guinea pigs are heading? …19th century Russia.
OK, that's me! I'm back and ready for action. Oh, and this is my new comic.

Thanks for the welcome! Here's Wikipedia's explanation of the origin of the name “guinea pig”, and you know that Wikipedia is never wrong.

Oh, hello.
You seem vaguely familiar, even though I'm fairly certain I've never seen you before.
