Whenever I read anything by you I always want to change my writing style completely!!
It's so good!!
Overtime, I'm going to read every panel you have on DD.
I read through it all in one sitting.
Amazing comic.
Another fern gem. This comic was amazing. I can't really describe my enjoyment, and how much I love it.
wow... fern, another great comic.
my favorite thing to do when I'm procrastinating is to read your comics... it makes having papers to write not-so-bad! I feel sad that it's over though... I loved it! so rich! I miss k-cops and k-rik! that part was weird because it was all silly and stuff, but underneath, it really was sad. and then when dakota got the butterfly hair-clip.. aww.. the whole comic is just so weird and great! roomba! (hehe?) good job and YOU SHOULD UPDATE YOUR OTHER COMICS MORE OFTENNNN!!! >:o
heh!
When I joined Drunk Duck a few months ago, I came across your comic and read it from the start up to the most recent strip (number 77) and loved it. But I didn't know how the site worked, so it didn't get faved. The fact that I couldn't remember its title or author didn't help. But I'm happy to say that after a bit of random browsing, I've found BFF and read strips 78-100. Great ending, very emotional (I hate saying that, but it was), and well done!
gasp! a crit!!! how nice of allan to do so.
and yeah it was one of the biggest events in the story, the whole "BFF" relationship between suzanne and robbie.
i like to think that she took it pretty hard in the months that followed but chris was also there for the ride easing her pain, and not to mention her new friendship with her half-sis' dakota.
Are they making THIS face?
>u<
Because if they are, I'm so right.
---
Oh a final note: The end? It was so short lived. Or long lived. Either one. I loved it. Every moment I knew about it. I could spot the emotion influences miles away, and I loved the comic for them. The music references. The writing. The dynamical effects of the body shapes. And yeah, I got the 80085 thing way back in the beginning. Nice going.
As for this strip? It sums things up rather bittersweetly. Sure, they're happy and they kiss--not to mention they've had a kid together--but Robbie never saw Suzanne ever again. And Suzanne's indifference about the whole of it makes it seem like a somewhat minuscule event, when it was probably the biggest (or second-biggest) event in the whole story.
My conclusion? Your conclusion sums things up in life how they usually are. Sad, but with a happy ending.
Oh--and I like how you gave her daughter the hairclip. It shows she's not selfish, or too selfish to keep it for herself.
Good work, Fern! Glad you could finish this up with such a strong pizazz that you didn't even need author's comments.
