Episode 212 - Gateway Comics

Tantz Aerine, Pit Face and Abt Nhil join Banes and Ozone to discuss the kinds of comics that are good intros into the medium for people who aren't into them: Gateway comics! You know the sorts of people; "Comics are for kids", that sort of thing. Well the idea here is to show them different! What comics would convince someone to give the medium a second glance? What comic or strategy could possibly convent people to the glorious cause of comics? Tantz, Pit, and Abt tell us what they think, we also read what HippieVan suggests (the topic creator), and the people who contributed to HippieVan's original newspost.

I always thought the main perks of being an adult was getting to read adult graphic novels! ;)

It's nice you were having fun… after I wrote my comment on that thread I thought I hope they don't take "picture book for adults" the wrong way… then I thought no, I do hope they take it the wrong way… that could also be a good selling point to interest someone in graphic novels… very "graphic" novels…

It is true, DBZ and Sailor Moon were the entry-anime shows in the USA. I, too, would like to see PIT_FACE draw Sailor Moon. I had to read a bunch of Ziggy comics after Banes brought them up. I remember Ziggy, but I had to see his manic-depressive personality myself.

Very entertaining quackcast… Pit Face's music analogy (anal what?!) was right, not everybody is going to be passionate for comics but they might b able to see them in a new light… and I like how I sound in a Greek accent… Tantz Aerine's voice reminds me, for some reason, those radio shows from Spain… Abt Nihil also does a very convincing German accent… how he does it?…
