IMPORTANT - Suspicious Activity

likes!

We've been getting reports lately that some users are seeing inappropriate/adult ads, and that some ads are redirecting users to malware/adult sites.

First of all, we are very, very sorry about this. We’re doing our best to work out what the problem is and how we can fix it.

In the meantime, please report any and all suspicious activity to us. This means anything that seems adult/explicit (other than appropriately rated adult comics, of course), anything that looks like malware, and absolutely any ad that acts as a popup or that redirects your browser. Try to grab whatever evidence you can…a screenshot, the url, source code if you can. Even if you weren't able to get any of that, report to us that you've seen a sketchy ad. The more reports we get, the more certain we can be that there is indeed a problem.

Some of these ads may direct you to a download button for a Java update, Firefox update, “PChealthboost,” etc.
DO NOT click on/download anything from these websites, as they are malware!

Reports of bad ads can be left HERE.
You can also PQ them to myself or ozoneocean, or email them to me at hippievannews@gmail.com

Yep. I keep getting ads like "You're using an outdated version of Firefox" in German, and, while they happen to be right, I've always suspected them to be malware. I'll keep an eye on it so I can give you some hard evidence. :)

Thanks, alex - any other info you can provide us like your browser or what kind of device you're using? :)

I keep getting the Java update redirect ad. Its URL is "http://www.flashplayerupdating.com/CA/?s1=xN45AAErOQBGUHMBAAAAAJH-bwAAAAAAAgAQAAYAAAAAAP8AAAAHC4fNUQAAAAAABY-JAAAAAAASoIkAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB6fxYAAAAAAAIAAwAAgD8AmDPqXUMBAAAAAAAAADlmZGI0OWE4LTc1NTYtMTFlMy1hNGJhLTE3NjRiMzUyZTRkNwAAAAAAAAA=&s2=29507&s3=CA&s4=86711&s5=24334406"

Oh I saw that Mobo Genie (which is quite an annoying adware that has been infecting some people) popup from nowhere on my android while reading comics. The weird thing is that there was no ad for mobo genie, just the javascript popup randomly appearing
