When I first drew this page, I left panel four blank. I’m attempting to “show not tell” when possible and use flashbacks and other imagery to break up conversations. However, when I get to Valentine’s crimes, it gets a bit, uh, gruesome. Possibilities for visuals were to depict crimes taking place or to show the signs/injuries in crime scene photos or coroner evidence. None of that seemed pleasant to draw and I felt would detract from the mood instead of enhancing it. In the end, I went through my archives and found precedence to create an abstraction in silhouettes.
If you are unfamiliar or need any refreshers on Tara’s case, she is tracking Valentine Blaine, who is behind the events of “Snapped Laces” and made his official debut in “Be Mine.” (He also had a brief cameo on an earlier page.)
Anubis: Time does not exist off the clock.
Peipei: In Brad's case, it's probably true, but he's not happy about it. Remember, he confessed his feelings to Yuki at least once before, and she rejected him. She agreed to a roommate arrangement on a specifically platonic level. (Which it may not stay. Tara is a bit nosy and teasey about the whole thing.)
plymayer: Thanks!
ghostrunner: Me too.

I like how you did that lower left panel, kind of to show what methods were used in the murders...Yeah, it is hard to enjoy anything when you have a serial killer to worry about.
