Star Strip page 119

So Kirk is on his way. Meanwhile Rickover and the rest have to finish re-taking their ship. And it seems they aren't doing the best of jobs. Good thing Aura and Nakkar are on their side. This was always something I wanted to see in an action movie where the oh so smart characters trade quips and the other guy just rolls his eyes and takes care of the bad guys. Less talk and more fighting okay?
At a recent family gathering since I now have a smartphone I was able to finally show the comic to family. I have not been so ruthlessly teased since I was in grade school. It really hit me hard. I mean it's not anything I haven't been thinking or even saying about my stuff all along; how it's all about boobs and otherwise empty of content or any redeeming value at all. Such pretty pictures but boobs and I might as well not even bother. I do porn. I think I'll work it into Belle's Best with Belle and Trish's relationships with others outside their industry.

Aura is good at what she does and Nakkar did help a little.

That was fast!

By the way, using that stuff for the Belles Best comic is a fantastic idea! Lemons into lemonade, brother! Perfect thing to do!

PS I'm at the garage waiting for my car and "let the tits fall where they may" made me laugh and snort out loud. Oops!

That's rough, the feedback from family. The few times people in my real life have looked at my stuff, it's been nerve wracking. I don't go out of my way to tell them what I'm doing...it's comic fans and DDers who are more likely to enjoy it anyway. Love those angles on the corridors! Looks like the show

I'm sorry to hear that. Families can be our harshest critics because we take in their opinions more to heart over people we don't know or are not related to. Being the youngest, I used to be afraid of what my older siblings would think of me being an artist in general, but now, I tell myself that I wouldn't let them drag me down just because they want me to be something I don't want to be. You've got a great and unique way of showing your art. Not everyone can do the things you do, so in the end, enjoy and embrace your passion. It shows in your comic.

There really should be a support group for comic folks dealing with their families.

Not family but people I know's comments is what led me to go ahead and switch to 'mature' for my comic. They thought my comic might be a little 'heavy' for a 14-year old (when the dozens of web vids they see are much worse)... Sometimes you just shake your head... In any case I've enjoyed your comic immensely! It's obvious you're having fun with it (shows thru greatly)!

Folks smart comments and put downs used to bother me also. A lot. I have learned these days to do material I like , and to hell with with everybody...cause, no matter what, somebody is gonna tell me I suck, or they don't like what I'm doing, or all I do is porn or whatever. . if you like it...thanks. if you don't...oh well....

I'm sorry to read that your family said those things to you. I have received similar comments from folks. Try not to let it get you down. I like what your doing here. Love it that you included Old school star trek characters. Your work is funny, original, and loaded with good action. You're providing great entertainment for us readers. I think that qualifies as redeeming value.
